It will reach its highest point in the sky at 23:49, 71° above your southern horizon. It will become inaccessible at around 05:33 when it sinks below 11° above your western horizon.
At a declination of 16°00’N, it is easiest to see from the northern hemisphere; it can be seen at latitudes between 86°N and 54°S.
At magnitude 1.0, Collinder 50 is
visible to the naked eye, but best viewed through a pair of binoculars.
