Landsat 9 captured this picture of lava coming from an eruptive fissure close to Stóra Skógfell peak on Iceland’s Reykjanes peninsula. Lava from the eruption flowed throughout main roads and closed in on the Blue Lagoon, a well-liked vacationer vacation spot. This pure coloration scene is overlaid with an infrared sign to assist distinguish the lava’s warmth signature.
