Telesat has signed a $39 million contract with SatixFy for Touchdown Station Baseband Items for use with Telesat’s Lightspeed Community.

In response to Telesat, “SatixFy will design, develop, and provide Touchdown Station Baseband techniques to Telesat, with deliveries happening over a 28-month interval. These techniques will allow high-speed and environment friendly communication between the Telesat Lightspeed Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and the Touchdown Stations.”

The contract comes lower than two weeks after Telesat awarded a contract to Intellian to provide 127 gateway antenna techniques to be used with Lightspeed.
