Jupiter will enter retrograde movement,
halting its ordinary eastward motion by the
constellations, and turning to maneuver westwards as a substitute.
This reversal of path is a phenomenon that each one the photo voltaic system’s
outer planets periodically bear, a couple of months earlier than they attain
opposition.

The retrograde movement is attributable to the Earth’s personal movement across the Solar.
Because the Earth circles the Solar, our perspective adjustments, and this causes the obvious positions of objects to
transfer from side-to-side within the sky with a one-year interval. This nodding movement is super-imposed on the planet’s
long-term eastward movement by the constellations.

The diagram under illustrates this. The gray dashed arrow exhibits the Earth’s sight-line
to the planet, and the diagram on the proper exhibits the planet’s apparently motion throughout the sky as seen from
the Earth:

2024–2025 apparition of Jupiter

Observing Jupiter

Jupiter enters retrograde movement as its 2024–2025 apparition
will get underway, though it has already been seen for some weeks within the pre-dawn sky.

Its celestial coordinates because it enters retrograde movement might be:

Object Proper Ascension Declination Constellation Magnitude Angular Measurement
Jupiter 05h21m00s 22°24’N Taurus -2.6 42.4″

The coordinates above are given in J2000.0.
